Released in the market after the new Mahindra Scorpio, the Mahindra XUV500 provides for more comfort and flexibility than other SUVs in the same price range. 

Starting at an ex-showroom price of ₹ 12.47 – 19.18 Lakh* in Kurnool, the Mahindra XUV500 packs a host of features like – connected apps and eco sense on the digital infotainment screen, hill assist, drive controls on different terrains and more. 

The Mahindra XUV500 a 2.2-litre (155PS/360Nm) diesel engine comes with a 6-speed Manual Transmission or Automatic Transmission gear box. The XUV500 is available in both 2WD and 4WD options but only with a manual gearbox.  

The addition of a new eVGT (electric variable geometry turbocharger) to reduce turbo lag at the lower end of things is one of the main factors that has helped the increase in performance. 

 The top-spec variant of the XUV500 is equipped with safety features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, rollover mitigation, hill launch assist and hill descent control. Other features include 18-inch alloy wheels, electric sunroof, front and rear fog lamps, automatic projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights (DRLs), rain-sensing wipers, electrically adjustable and foldable outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) and IRVM.  

The first thing that catches your eye is the large chrome grille. The cheetah inspired slashes on the outgoing model have given way to a more contemporary bling heavy six-slat unit. The grille also gets chrome surrounds that complement chrome inserts in the fog lamp housing. The XUV500 gets new 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, two-tone roof rails and a black cladding that runs around the car. The tailgate has changed too and gets a muscular ridge above the number plate holder.
